Minutes from the October board meeting:
Present: Jack Fitzpatrick, Bill Lampeter, Mithun Mukherjee, Morgan Smith, Troy Zarcone

Treasurer’s report: Presented by Bill Lampeter, the Vangard account holding our funds is moderatly ahead of the S+P 500 for the last 5 yrs. Bill is working to reinstate our not-for-profit status.

City League: Mithun reports that ‘Top Dog Tennis’ is the backbone for the new US squash system. It has a solid track record and so City Leagues will be tracked exclusively on the US site. The entry deadline for results will be Sunday evening as previously required.

Junior Clinic/development: Troy led a discussion of ongoing development opportunities for youth.
Facilities are the choke point, and access to various venues was discussed. There may be opportunity to encourage new construction. Troy has explored high school squash clubs as a potential focal point for organization.

U of R Meliora weekend: Sat. 18 Oct. at 6:00 will repeat last year’s instruction/exhibition. There is a web link to sign up for instruction sessions. The top four players will play exhibition games.
The Yellowjackets will host US #1 Trinity on 6 Feb. ’09.

Pro/Am: New sponsors will be needed for ’09, fundraising will kick off earlier than last year.
