2nd Round of 16 – David Letourneau (Princeton) bt. Hameed Ahmed (UR) [6-9,9-5,9-6,9-7]
Potter Cup (Men’s A Consolation Draw):
1st Round of 16 – Jonathan Barry(Williams) bt. Will Newnham (UR) [9-3,10-8,9-7]
Molloy Cup (Men’s B Main Draw):
Semifinals: Rushabh Vora (Trinity) bt. Fred Reid (UR) [9-5,10-9,9-0]

The top four Yellowjackets are back in individual competition action this weekend at the final tournament of the season – the CSA Individual Championships at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Friday has already seen three of the four move on to the next round.

In the Men’s A Potter Cup division Round 1 action, Jim Bristow beat Tom McKay of Princeton in straight sets 9-5,9-3,9-1 and Hameed Ahmed beat Randy Lim of Trinity 9-5,9-5,2-9,9-6 to progress to the second round. At the time of this posting, scores had not been reported yet for Will Newnham’s match against Princetonian David Canner.
In the Men’s B Malloy Cup Division, Fred Reid also comfortably beat his opponent Adam King in straight sets 9-2, 9-4, 9-3.

Another player with Rochester roots and former Weymuller award winner Brendon Bascom, who now plays for Princeton, made his mark in the first round of the Malloy Cup by defeating Allan Lutz (Navy) 9-5, 9-3, 9-5.
